Our Church Covenant

We covenant with the Lord and with one another and do bind ourselves in the presence of God, to walk together in all His ways according as He is pleased to reveal Himself unto us in His blessed word of truth. We purpose to devote ourselves to the study, the practice and spread of Christianity. We will endeavor to be loyal to this fellowship, to help one another in the Christian life, to support the work and attend the meetings of this church according to our strength, ability and opportunity, and in every way to strive to make it a power in the service of God and man.

Our Theological Beliefs in a Nutshell
  1. God: God, who is one, is revealed in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  2. Jesus: We believe in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ. God became human in Jesus, whose life, death, and resurrection demonstrate God's redeeming love.
  3. Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is God's present activity in our midst. When we sense God's leading, God's challenge, or God's support or comfort, it's the Holy Spirit at work.
  4. The Church: In affirming the priesthood of believers, we affirm a ministry of the whole Church, in which all have the privilege and duty of sharing the good news of Christ with others and of exercising within the Church the spiritual functions for which God has endowed them with the necessary gifts.
  5. The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the primary authority for our faith and practice.
  6. Sacraments: We practice two sacraments: the Eucharist (Lord's Supper) and Baptism.

  • The Bible is fully sufficient as our guide in matters of faith and practice and will inspire individuals and direct the church with fresh light and truth for every generation.
  • All church members are spiritually equal and called to the work of ministry.
  • Every local church is autonomous and complete.
  • Each local church is called into wider associations of fellowship.
  • Believers are bound to one another in a voluntary covenant.
  • Every Christian possesses full liberty of conscience in interpreting the Gospel.
